Safari and HTML5

Last week Apple released a few new pages on Apple.com showcasing the abilities of HTML5 and CSS3. I believe there are 1 or 2 reasons for them doing this. 1. To show the way forward in (maybe taking a pop at flash) and 2. For the new upcoming Safari 5 web browser rumored to have a lot of new additional HTML5 and CSS3 features.

When visiting the , if you don’t browse the internet with Safari by default then you will be direct to download Safari 4 even though Chrome and Firefox would be able to view these demos. The are several demos available to play with including Video, Typography, A Gallery, Transitions, Audio, VR and a 360.

All in all its a nice little demo that shows the how development of HTML5 and CSS3 is progressing. If you find a spare 5 minutes I recommend giving it a go. Visit:
